Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 at Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as Her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural at sports early in her life, and discovered her talent for sprinting when she was at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came third in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated high school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then attended college at the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She established an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. As of 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters of all time at the Helsinki World Championships. She retained her title in 2007, over her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo constantly placing within the top three in all her races.
