Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes in her respective events.
